the denim is a Serge canvas with armor mostly made up of indigo cotton threads and ecru cotton threads in frame.

Both comfortable flexible and very resistant, it is very popular, including in sewing collections it is its origin from Nîmes (Bleu de Nîmes) city where the canvas was made in the 18th century.
But we also evoke an Italian Genesis. The port of Genoa used the ancestor of this so -called Futaine canvas for the sails of boats and sailor pants (the English big importers pronounce Jean for the word Genoa no coincidence!)
Whatever its place in the history of cotton, through the centuries, this fabric is for on a journey in the imagination of the conquest of the West and the American dream, we therefore wish you good trip and good seam all !
