These sewing needles are ideal for patchwork or tight tissue work. THE Half long needles Are ideal for quilting, a technique associated with patchwork, they will facilitate, among other things, the work of the mattress.
The needle should not be long, because the technique is not the same as with a standard seam: we push the needle horizontal in the fabric by spacing the points very little. They are generally used on Baumwolle 100% patchwork, but can be used on all fabrics by adapting the needle number. They generally work with a quilter wire (more resistant than a traditional wire).
